In order to encourage cultural units and museums to tap their own cultural resources, to develop cultural and creative products, and to promote creative and innovative development of Chinese culture, the first selection of excellent cultural and creative products in Nanjing was launched in March 2018.
Nanjing City Wall Protection and Management Center submitted a variety of cultural and creative products to participate in the selection. These products fully integrate the characteristics of Nanjing City Wall, deeply excavating cultural elements and value connotation of Nanjing City Wall, and taken into account both practical and aesthetic needs of different consumers.
By online vote, expert review and other ways of selection, adhering to the principle of fairness, openness and impartiality, on May 18, the International Museum Day, the results were announced and awarded.
Nanjing City Wall Protection and Management Center's creative products are well-known. Among them, "out of brick into stone" receives excellent awards, "city wall music box" receives elite awards, and "city wall rattle drum" receives the best inheritance awards. While publicizing the historical and cultural style of Nanjing City Wall, these creative products also show the unique innovative thinking and inheritance consciousness of Nanjing City Wall.
